Do you love dancing? Have a passion for performing? Are you looking to turn these into becoming a professional dancer? Then this course is an excellent place to start. This course will give you the skills and knowledge to develop a range of dance techniques. You will gain practical experience in different types of performance and build up your confidence and stamina as a dancer, as you work through a series of practical projects. You will take part in several performances during the year, keeping a reflective journal of your progress. You’ll also attend workshops with visiting professionals and learn from various trips to West End and touring professional shows. Your final major production will be staged at a public theatre venue. Certification is awarded by the prestigious UAL Awarding Body, widely regarded as the best university for the Creative Arts in Europe. You will be based in our own dedicated performance space which has a 180 seater theatre, dressing rooms, dance studios, rehearsal rooms, MAC suite, and technical theatre workshop. During this course, you’ll learn: Rehearsal techniques Choreographing your own work The history of the dance industry Developing core strength and stamina to prevent injuries Solo and ensemble pieces Audition techniques Combining singing with dance Aspects of preparing a production
