The qualification has been designed for those who have an interest in media and who wish to explore and extend this interest via a full-time, immersive learning experience. Many students join this course because they have identified a specific career that they want to achieve (e.g. producer, director, cinematographer, broadcast technician, editor etc). If that sounds familiar, then this is the qualification for you. This is a practical course that combines elements of film, TV, and digital media. Whilst on this course you will develop the skills you need to start a career in the industry by completing practical projects that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.

What you need to get on

Diploma – 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including grade 4 in English Language or Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media at Merit or above. Extended Diploma – 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including grade 4 or above in English Language, or Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media at Merit or above.
