This 2-year Extended Diploma course is largely practical and gives you not only a broad range of skills and experiences but also provides a professional environment where your portfolio of work and skills can be expanded to industry standards. The course runs as a Media Production Company, NCM with four main elements as well as additional client based projects. The four main elements are: a television station, that is broadcast from the NCM PM-TV Studio; A campus magazine produced termly based in NCM Production Offices; A Radio and Podcast Studio, that is recorded from NCMs PM-Pod Studio; A Film Production Company, NCM-Films, also based in NCM Production Offices. There are opportunities to gather skills in Film, Television & Production; Graphic Design; Video & Audio Production; Media Marketing; Journalism. The structure of the course is that have the opportunity to experience all areas of media initially with briefs given to you that cover some specific tasks such as writing, and presenting in readiness to be published in our magazine, a film review in Year One and a media-related extended article in Year Two. Through the remainder of the first year you are then able to devise your own production briefs across two productions to explore and experiment with different aspects of media, mentioned above, to find the area of interest you want to follow. This can then be presented in the Final Major Project, that again, is a self-devised project that should showcase the skills deve
