The structure of the NCFE Level 3 Entry to the Uniformed Services Extended Diploma provides an innovative and creative curriculum which combines classroom study with practical outdoor activities. The aim of this qualification is to allow learners to gain transferable skills that can be applied to the workplace or further study. Boston College work in conjunction with Lincolnshire Police and other public service organisations to ensure students gain a realistic learning experience. This an exciting two-year course, in which you will develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours from expert staff from public service and industry backgrounds. During your first year, you will study the Level 3 Diploma for Entry to the Uniformed Services. Upon successful completion of the first year, you will then progress on to the second year to study the Level 3 National Extended Diploma for Entry to the Uniformed Services. There will be a clear set of values that allow an understanding of the public services and the community, promoting curiosity, independence, resilience and self-awareness. This qualification also supports progression onto higher education.
What you need to get on
The desirable entry qualifications for Level 3 Entry to the Uniformed Services Extended Diploma are five GCSEs which will include a grade 4 in English Language. Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths or a Merit/Distinction profile in a course related subject will also be considered. Suitability to this course can also be assessed on interview.
