The AQA GCSE Italian course is a fantastic opportunity to gain another GCSE in a language that is both familiar and a bit different. You’ll gain insights into both the language and culture through the topics and vocabulary and in addition to your previous GCSE language studies, you’ll build your knowledge and understanding of Romance languages.

What you need to get on

The minimum entry requirements are the best 8 GCSE grades, totalling 38 or higher. For example, two Grade 6s, two Grade 5s, and four Grade 4s. Students also need to have secured a Grade 4 GCSE in both English and Mathematics.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
