This course introduces students to the joy of watercolour and inks. Students will be taught a range of techniques - from colour mixing, to composition and perspective - and will be encouraged to take an exploratory approach in order to discover their individual creative voice. Each week will start with a different theme from which to work. Throughout the course, students will be introduced to artists, and shown examples of how watercolours and inks can be used in traditional and more contemporary contexts. Watercolours are a hugely versatile medium and a represent a fantastic opportunity to explore light, colour and personal expression. Classes are open to all levels from complete beginners to more experienced artists. All sessions are friendly and nurturing, taking a mindful approach to painting and teaching students to be curious about their process and techniques.
