What the college says

Develop your own experimental live performances using creative approaches to sound. Throughout this course we will explore how technology can be used in a live performance environment to express your own artistic ideas. This will be considered both from a practical, how-to, perspective as well as a creative, why-do, angle. Alongside this we will explore the practicalities of presenting your work, looking at how to book and perform experimental and sound art gigs.

What you need to get on

Completion of a Sound Art or Music Composition course would be beneficial although is not required if you have some prior knowledge of the topic and/or some experience of working with sound or developing artistic ideas. Prior knowledge of Apple computers would be an advantage, but support during class will be given. Basic computer skills, file management, etc.
