What the college says
This class will focus on using collage as an artform in itself and as inspiration for working in other media. We will explore howartists use collage in different ways to convey specific messages for example playful juxtapositions, political agitation, feminist idealsnarrative journeys. There will be opportunities to try photo montage, collage, mixed media collage, found object collage and you will be able to use collage as a way of creating subject matter for painting or drawing.Basic materials will be provided but please feel free to bring your own. Print media is particularly useful for this course.
