at Warwickshire College, Royal Leamington Spa · college
What the college says
This is a full-time Level 3 course that provides an introduction to the fast-developing world of Esports and is taught over two years. Students learn about the unique crossover of subject areas that comprise the Esports industry, such as enterprise, game design, marketing, business, teamwork, and event management. Students will also learn more about the technical side of Esports as they continue to develop their understanding of the industry; covering subjects including programming, 2D & 3D graphics and live-streamed broadcasting. This leads up to the design and delivery of a competitive Esports event. This course is delivered as two qualifications, each a year long (usually a national or 90 credit diploma in Year 1 and the extended diploma in Year 2). Students who are 18 years old when they start Year 1 will therefore be 19 at the start of Year 2 and may be subject to fees for the Year 2 qualification. All learners will need to successfully complete the Year 1 qualification to be able to progress to the Year 2 qualification.
