Is English not your first language? Our ESOL Pre-Entry 2 class is designed for complete beginners with no prior English skills. In this friendly class, you'll learn to speak, read and write simple English for everyday conversations. You'll also start reading and writing simple texts and personal information. You will develop basic listening and speaking skills, build your vocabulary and grammar, and grow your confidence in using English in daily life. You'll also learn basic numeracy in English.

What you need to get on

This is not an exam-based course. Your English skills will be assessed and developed through a portfolio of work. You will use an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) to track your progress. Your tutor will gather and mark your work as you progress through the course.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
