What you need to get on

For those age 16+. No previous horse care experience required. A minimum of GCSE 3 or above or level 1 functional skills for English and Maths. Candidates must have a keen interest in horse care. Riding and non-riding options maximum weight limit of 13 stone for riders.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
