The Level 2 Equine Groom Course is designed to provide students with the skills and a vocational qualification so they can work within the equine industry. The course is offered as a riding and a non-riding course. The Level 2 Equine Groom is suitable for those who have achieved Level 1 in Horse Care or have relevant industry experience.
What you need to get on
For those age 16+. No previous horse care experience required. A minimum of GCSE 3 or above or level 1 functional skills for English and Maths. Candidates must have a keen interest in horse care. Riding and non-riding options maximum weight limit of 13 stone for riders.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
