What the college says

This course is ideal if you want practical horse care knowledge for work or personal development. Run by an accredited coach, it covers stable yard responsibilities, grooming, tack, feeding and horse health alongside lungeing for exercise. The content can be adapted to the group so you focus on the areas you most need. It is a strong option if you want structured training and confident practical skills.

What you need to get on

You will need to wear sensible yard clothing with appropriate yard footwear. For safety reasons we ask that no jewellery, apart from a watch and wedding ring, is worn. Piercings will all need to be removed and not taped. In addition, hoodies are not permitted on the Equestrian Centre. Hat and gloves will also be required. Please ensure your hat has been correctly fitted and meets the current safety standards, available at https://www.bhs.org.uk/media/x5gfqnfi/2024-bhs-event-hat-guide-v1.p
