Functional Skills Entry level 3 is internally assessed by the center staff and externally moderated by OCR. Assessments are set by OCR. Units will be graded Pass or Fail. Learners will have many opportunities during the course to practice the skills needed before they are entered for the assessment. Learners are only entered for assessments when they are ready. Learners who achieve at Entry 3 will have ICT skills, knowledge, and understanding to carry out structured tasks in familiar contexts, with appropriate guidance where needed. It is also for learners who want to progress to level 1 but currently need greater support to achieve level 1. This course supports the development of practical skills in ICT; it helps learners gain the most out of work, education and everyday life. There is a strong focus on explanation and problem-solving. This problem-solving approach can be used in work, life, and further learning. Those learners who successfully master the skills required at this level have the opportunity to progress and complete ICT at Entry level 3. Assessment of this qualification will be available in English only. Assessment materials will in English and all work submitted must be produced in English
