What the college says

English Literature is a sought after A’ Level by many universities and is a requirement for a number of university courses. It is obviously necessary for students who intend to follow a tertiary level Literature course but is also essential for many Law Degree courses. For those who enjoy reading, particularly fiction texts, this course offers students the opportunity to develop their reading skills alongside achieving an academic qualification. Literature study broadens the mind, and develops your skills of analysis and interpretation. Literature study demands that students become independent thinkers and researchers. These are skills that are necessary for university success and so Literature students are well prepared for the next stage in their academic careers.
