English Literature is a great course for anyone who enjoys reading books and discussing their ideas. Immerse yourself in poetry, prose and drama, making meaning from the worlds created by writers past and present.

What you need to get on

You will need to meet the minimum entry criteria, plus:Grade 6 in one of these: History, Geography, Humanities, English Literature, Business, Media Studies, Religious Studies, Drama, or Film Studies. If you have a grade 6 in English Language, you only need a grade 5 in one of these subjects.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
