English Language is the study of the diverse ways in which both spoken and written English is used in a wide range of contexts. You will explore how such factors as power, gender and occupation affect language use, as well as how children develop language and how the English language has evolved over time. Examinations test your analytical and creative ability, as well as giving you the opportunity to explore two areas of your own choice as coursework with one piece of original writing and one investigation.

5 GCSE grades 9-5, including English and Mathematics
