English Language combines well with all subjects. The ability to write precisely and demonstrate expertise is essential in all subjects and career paths. Successful completion of the course will enable students to progress to higher education,or employment in a range of industries. A qualification in English Language is highly valued in many industries, especially where analytical written and communication skills playa role. A-Level English Language will open doorways to a range of careers in including journalism, law and teaching.
What you need to get on
At least a C on the English GCSE paper, preferably a B. Students should have an interest in the English Language and enjoy analysing its use and ongoing change.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
