You will learn to read critically and use the knowledge and skills gained from wider reading to inform and improve your own writing. You will learn to write effectively and coherently using standard English, and you will also develop your spoken communication skills.Gaining a grade 4 or above in GCSE English Language can help you achieve your personal or career goals - it is a stepping stone to many types of education and employment. You should take this course if you intend to progress to a Level 3 programme, apply for a university course, or if this qualification is required by specific employers.
