What the college says

This A level in English Literature aims to encourage students to develop their interest in and enjoyment of literature and literary studies. They are expected to read widely and independently - not just the set texts, but also others that they have selected for themselves. They should engage with a substantial body of texts and different ways of responding to them. Students will develop and apply their knowledge of literary analysis and evaluation; as well as exploring the contexts of the texts they are reading and others' interpretations of them.
