This level 2 course will develop practical and theoretical engineering skills which could include fabrication, hand fitting as well as machining (turning and milling) in a workshop environment.
What you need to get on
Four GCSEs at grade 3 including English, maths and science. Alternatively - Pass grade in a related Level 1 qualification and GCSE English and maths at grade 3
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
