BTEC Nationals are Level 3 qualifications designed to provide highly specialist work-related skills needed in Engineering. They give learners the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to prepare them for employment. The qualifications provide career development opportunities for work in a number of different engineering industries carrying out a variety of roles. As qualified technician’s, students have progressed to fulfil such roles as a Design Engineer as well as maintenance and servicing work on a variety of electrical and electronic equipment. The qualification also allows progression to higher education on HNC/HND and Degree level programmes.
