This Level 3 two-year course is suitable for school-leavers and adults who are interested in progressing to higher education, employment or an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering. Mechanical engineers contribute to shaping our everyday lives by influencing the design, manufacture and human interaction of everyday products from mobile phones to commercial aircraft. On this course, you will develop and hone a broad range of skills required to be a successful engineer in many engineering sectors. Our team have experience ranging from undertaking cutting edge research in academia to being the Managing Director of a manufacturing engineering company.

What you need to get on

You will need GCSE grade 5 or above for maths and English language as well as 3 other GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above. You will also need Merit or above for Level 2 BTEC First Extended Certificate in Engineering. All students will also be required to attend and satisfactorily complete a formal induction period.
