The A Level course will introduce and prepare students for the technological world of the 21st Century. The course covers the relevant theory to give students a full appreciation of where electronics is coming from and where it can lead us. Just look at your current mobile phone and think of the first one you had, what has changed, how much more can it do? WHERE DOES IT LEAD? A Level Electronics is seen by universities as a science subject. It complements Physics, IT and Maths A-levels for students who are considering Engineering, Applied Physics or Computing degrees or careers. There is a great opportunity for specialisation in many different specific fields such as Avionics and Bioelectronics and Robotics.

What you need to get on

5 GCSEs @ Grades 4-9, including 5+ in GCSE maths and 6-6 or better in GCSE science

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
