What the college says
This course is designed for 16-18 year old and adult learners the course will include a substantial amount of careers related learning designed to support progression to the suitable next step, this could include educational trips, employability skills and employer encounters such as guest speakers. For 16-18 year old will be delivered as a study programme which includes math and English where applicable and work experience.
What you need to get on
4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or higher including Maths or English OR a Level 1 related qualification PLUS grade D/3 or higher in Maths or English. Entry criteria will be applied at the discretion of the course manager. You will also need an enthusiasm for the subject and commitment to study.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
