The purpose of this qualification is to enable you to develop the digital skills you need for life, work, or further study as set out in the National standards for Essential Digital Skills, and to provide reliable evidence of your attainment in relation to the National standards for Essential Digital Skills.�At level 1 the focus will be more on skills for work with a secondary focus on skills for life. Essential digital skills qualifications will cover all five skills areas set out in these national standards (using devices and handling information, creating and editing, communicating, transactions and being safe and responsible online).�

What you need to get on

As a pre-requisite, you will hold the equivalent knowledge and skills developed in the BCS Entry Level Essential Skills for Work qualification or be assessed via an initial assessment task where the results will give an understanding of your current digital skills competency. Based on this data, you will be given an individual skills plan that is tailored to your specific needs and areas identified for improvement.�

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
