What the college says

The Faculty follows the Edexcel exam board syllabus. Within this you will cover four units, three mandatory and one selected from a list of options. This qualification is modular, meaning you will study and submit assignments in distinct units throughout the course. Three of the mandatory topics you will study are, 1- Anatomy and Physiology, 2- Fitness Training and Programming for Health Sport and Well being, 3- Professional Development in the Sport Industry, a fourth optional unit is available.

What you need to get on

For entry on to A Level and BTEC courses, we require a minimum of 240 points in the 6 best full GCSE/ BTEC courses, including English Language and Mathematics at grade 4/C or higher. BTEC qualifications will only count as 1 GCSE. If more than 1 is studied, only the best will count towards the overall points score. GCSE short courses will not be included. Only grades at 4/C or above will be included. Additionally we require a Grade C in GCSE PE or a Merit in Level 2 BTEC Sports. Please see our website for full details of the Admission Policy.
