The Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Business is an Applied General qualification. It is for post-16 learners who want to continue their education through applied learning and who aim to progress to higher education and ultimately to employment in the business sector. The course is designed to ensure that students gain knowledge and understanding of a variety of business functions that creates links to real life examples. The qualification is equivalent in size to one A-Level and aims to provide a coherent introduction to study of the business sector.

What you need to get on

You will need 5 GCSEs Grade 4 – 9 including Business at 4 to gain entry to this course. If you have followed a BTEC Level 2 course, you will need to have achieved a Merit in this subject. Those who have not studied Business may be considered however we will expect you to have achieved at least Grade 4 or above in English GCSE.
