Edexcel A level History 2yr course CONTENT OF COURSE: A level students will study four units, which will include several countries history, covering a 200 year period. A Level subject content: Nationalism, dictatorship and democracy in the Twentieth century Europe: • Germany and West Germany 1 918 - 89 • The rise and fall of fascism in Italy 1 911 - 46 • Rebellion and Disorder under the Tudors 1485 - 1603 (continuity with present) • India Independence 1 914 to 1 948. PROGRESSION ROUTES: A good grade at A Level History is recognised by all universities as a facilitating subject for entry into a wide range of undergraduate disciplines and courses. Studying A Level History also provides graduates the opportunity to enter into a wider range of occupations, including law, journalism, education, estate agent, a financial analyst and business consultant.
