If you study Economics at Crompton House you’ll be better informed, than the average person in the street about the big issues such as the ‘credit crunch’ and the ‘double dip’ recession. You’ll be encouraged to articulate your ideas and to distinguish between facts, bias and opinion. It will also give you more confidence in your personal finances because you’ll be more aware of the changing economic situation and how this affects your pocket. Many of the most important issues facing society are economic in nature. The Economics course aims to stimulate your interest in how economies work, the problems they face and possible approaches to solutions. You will study a range of issues at a personal, local, national and international level, gaining an understanding of events in the real world.
