What the college says
This course is aimed at drummers with a least 3 years of experience. It will explore a wider variety of styles including Afro-Cuban drumming and will start looking at unusual time signatures and basic polyrhythms. It will further develop and apply the techniques, rudiments and concepts studied in the previous levels as well as reading and notation skills. This course requires tutor approval and therefore you are unable to enrol for it online. What you need to get on
Participants are required to have attended Levels 1 and 2 or: Be able to confidently play crotchets, quavers, triplets and semiquavers based grooves. Be familiar with Pop, Rock, Funk, Shuffle, and Jazz drumming styles. Be able to read, interpret and perform basic drum charts.
