The A Level Drama and Theatre aims to provide students with key knowledge and understanding of the Performing Arts Industry. It develops career opportunities as well as access to further or higher education courses. The course focuses on performance skills and practical work along with the study of texts. All students will investigate and experience the skills required to present and perform in productions. We also provide opportunities with professional theatre companies.

What you need to get on

2 Year Course - Normally 5 GCSE grades in the range of 9- 4, including Drama, and English Minimum grade 4. Students are expected to take part and/or support in the school productions/companies. However, students who have not studied GCSE Drama but have a grade 4 or above in Performing Arts GCSE, or who participate in an external theatre group/company and have an accompanying letter of recommendation may also be eligible.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
