This accredited qualification is designed to help you become an independent, skilled dog groomer or stylist, giving you the confidence and ability to work in a salon or run your own grooming business. To enrol on this course, you’ll need to have successfully completed the City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants. Building on those foundations, this course is highly practical and will see you working with clients’ dogs in our dedicated, professional grooming facilities. You’ll develop advanced techniques in styling, clipping, and finishing across a wide variety of breeds, while also deepening your understanding of canine health, behaviour, legislation, and salon management. Alongside your hands-on training, you’ll need to dedicate 4 to 5 hours per week to independent study to cover the theoretical aspects of the course, guided and supported by your tutor. Assessment is through a combination of practical tasks, written coursework and an online exam, all designed to showcase your technical ability and knowledge.
