What you need to get on
You don't need any previous experience. You will have an interest in carpentry, a Level 1 or equivalent Carpentry qualification or at least GSCE grade 4 in English and maths. Good hand-eye coordination is desirable along with an interest in developing skills and designing objects with wood.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
