In 2019 UK sales at hairdressers and personal care salons reached a massive £8.6 billion, the equivalent of every person in the UK spending £166 on personal care treatments yearly. Following a drop in 2020 due to Covid, reported bookings at the end of lockdown in April 2021 indicate that the future is bright. During this course, you will learn two systems of nail enhancements; acrylic and gel. In addition, you will gain skills in basic nail art, advanced nail art, electric nail filing, airbrushing, sculpting, client care and consultation, along with all the relevant health and safety and anatomy and physiology.

What you need to get on

You must be aged 16+ and be competent in literacy and numeracy, and in particular you must have good communication skills.

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
