This qualification aims to assess and develop the knowledge and skills of people working in a variety of healthcare settings as healthcare assistants working within different roles: Adult Nursing Maternity Support Theatre Support Children and Young People in Healthcare setting Mental Health Allied Health Profession Therapy Support People wishing to gain this Level 3 qualification should be working with a minimum level of supervision and already possess good technical skills and knowledge. You will be allocated a workplace assessor who will develop an individual learning plan and guide you to develop a portfolio of evidence to meet the learning outcomes.

What you need to get on

There are no formal entry requirements except a College interview, but you will need the appropriate language and literacy skills to enable you to achieve the qualification. You will need to be working in a largely unsupervised role as a Healthcare Assistant and already have a good level of technical skills and knowledge.
