Our Level 2 Games Foundation course will teach you everything you need to know about the thriving UK games industry, which is the third largest in the world. You will learn how to design and create game assets such as: environments audio characters objects You will also explore the world of eSports where you’ll explore the exciting world of competitive gaming and learn essential skills for content creation, including streaming and audio production. We’re looking for students who are interested in developing their creative skills and understanding of the games industry and its audiences. You will learn how to plan and research for your projects, and how to use creative software such as: Flowlab – A user-friendly tool for designing and prototyping games, helping you bring your ideas to life. 3DSMAX – A powerful 3D modeling and rendering software used in the gaming industry to create realistic characters and environments. Adobe Creative Suite – A versatile toolkit for multimedia design, from video editing to creating engaging in-game assets. OBS – A video recording and live streaming software. Our practical, work-related course is based on realistic workplace situations, activities, and demands, giving you a taste of your chosen career and providing a solid foundation for further study in Level 3 courses such as: Games (Animation/VFX), Games (Development) or eSports . What you need to get on

3 GCSEs at grade 3/D or above or a UAL or equivalent L1 Diploma in a related area at Merit or above. Preferably English will be a grade 3/D. *Please note that if your English and Maths are below a grade 4 then you will have to also attend English and maths sessions alongside the games course.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
