This course offers a hands-on introduction to the world of media. You�ll explore a range of creative disciplines including film, radio, photography, graphic design, and digital publishing. Through practical projects, you�ll learn how to plan, produce, and evaluate media products while developing essential skills in teamwork, communication, and creative thinking. You�ll also gain insight into how media influences society and how to respond to industry briefs. The course is designed to build your confidence and prepare you for progression to Level 3 study or entry-level roles in the creative industries. What you need to get on

You must have a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English. A portfolio or evidence of creative interest may be requested at interview.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
