The CACHE Level 1 Caring for Children Diploma is designed to stimulate and encourage you to understand and develop the skills and knowledge needed to care for young children. The course is aimed at a range of learners, including young people needing to develop life skills as well as those who are thinking of a career in childcare. The course covers age ranges from birth to five years 11 months and during the course you will get an overview of early years education and child development alongside developing key life skills, preparing you further learning in the sector. Note: Does not confer competence or license to practise.

What you need to get on

The entry qualification for the Caring for Children Diploma are a minimum of two GCSEs at Grade 2 (Old GCSE Grade E) including Maths and English or an Entry 3 qualification.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
