This practical course is for people who would like to work or who are already working in the beauty industry. It will suit you if you are new to beauty therapy or you have some basic knowledge and skills from junior level work in the beauty industry. The general route is ideal if you are not sure what you want to specialise in and you want a broad overview. Some learners take this route with a view to setting up their own beauty therapy business in the future.
What you need to get on
This is a P16 course, students will require a 3 in GCSE English literature or Language and Maths
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
