The Beauty Professional (Nail Technician) Qualification is for someone who wants to demonstrate core behaviours, safe working practices and the professionalism and values associated with the role of a Nail Services Technician and be able to work without supervision to a high level of precision, with exceptional customer/client care skills.
What you need to get on
You must be employed in a salon for a minimum of 30 hours per week and the salon must set up their digital account to access funding. GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English are advantageous, this will determine whether you need to sit Functional Skills. Any prior learning will be discussed and funding and time reductions made where appropriate. Learners must also achieve the VTCT (ITEC) Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention (COVID-19) for Beauty Therapy and Nail Services qualification

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
