What the college says

The qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as an advanced hairdresser/stylist including: health and safety; client consultation; advanced cutting; styling and colouring techniques and selling products and services to clients. bridal hair styling and hair colour correction. You will learn through theory and practical sessions and you will undertake written and practical exams. Working on external clientele to complete your practical assessments.You will need to purchase a uniform which have been selected as the hairdressing college uniform, this will be available at a discounted price and ordered directly from our uniform partners. You will also need to purchase a black pair of trousers and a pair of black closed in, loafer type shoes. All MidKent College students will continue studying English and maths until they are 19, or until they have achieved a Grade C/4. Your study programme will incorporate a work placement of up to 350 hours in a role relevant to your study. All students will have access to a Personal Tutor to support their personal and professional development.
