If youre preparing for a career in Performing Arts or Music, the Level 1 Diploma in Music, Performing Arts & Production is a dance, acting and music based course that will give you a solid foundation in all three disciplines and help you prepare for progression to a level 2 programme. Youll have the opportunity to experiment with difference types of performance, as well as to contribute to our incredible student review shows and open to the public events like our popular annual pantomime. There are 7 coursework units all of which are internally assessed culminating in a Final Major Project at the end of the year.You will study a wide range of units including; Introduction to music, performing arts and production, Introduction to research, Production development, and Performance development.You will study both music and performing arts on this course. As part of your programme you may be required to study English and maths at an appropriate level.

What you need to get on

A minimum of four GCSEs at grade 2/F or above, including English or maths.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
