Develop your artistic skills and build a greater understanding of materials, techniques and processes when you enrol on the level 2 Extended Certificate. Taught in a professional, creative environment by a team of experienced lecturers, you will have the opportunity to experiment in a wide range of specialisms including sculpting, photography, design, textiles, digital art and more. You will also gain inspiration from visits to galleries and museums, and have the chance to showcase your own coursework at the departments end-of-term exhibition. The course is delivered in a variety of ways including demonstrations, practical workshops and tutorials Certain elements of the course may be assessed externally This is a study programme which include English, maths and work experience in addition to your main programme

Four GCSEs at grade D/3 or above, including English or maths at grade D/3 or above.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
