Through this course you will develop your technical, visual and creative skills when taking digital photographs. The course aims to teach you how to take quality photographs using different perspective and camera functions. You will learn how to upload and edit your photographs using Photoshop. This course is of a practical nature and will require some ICT skills. You will learn through observation, demonstrations, group work and practical projects, sharing ideas, skills and opinions. Initially you will be introduced to the basics such as: Taking control of your camera Learning to shoot in manual Digital Sensors Exposure and Metering File Types Applications and Techniques Composition Once you have acquired these skills you will extend your knowledge of the above and go into more detail of the following: Digital Sensors Exposure and Metering Composition.
What you need to get on
Learners must be 19 or over. There are no other specific entry requirements. If you have previous experience of digital photography you might find our Digital Photography - Intermediate course is more suited to your needs.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A supported starting point if exams have not gone well yet.
