Digital Graphic Design with Photography - BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma

at Warwickshire College, Royal Leamington Spa · college

Level 3Applied and BTECDiploma2 yearsFull time

What the college says

Year 1 - In the first year you will develop a range of different skills, such as; project management, research skills, design skills and the digital skills to be able to produce professional quality outcomes. We will look at developing your digital photography skills, corporate branding skills, illustration skills and packaging identity and moving image. Most of what you study will have a commercial outcome which will not look out of place in the real world. Year 2 - Once you have developed all the basic skills you need, year 2 will focus on using a combination of those skills in your independent project. This is your opportunity to showcase the skills you have developed, your own experiences, your passions and to experiment with new ideas to produce a fit for purpose product or outcome of your own choosing. Learners take charge of their project outcomes, making decisions concerning what they want to produce and what that outcome will look like. All under the guidance of experienced lecturers. This course is delivered as two qualifications, each a year long (usually a national or 90 credit diploma in Year 1 and the extended diploma in Year 2). Students who are 18 years old when they start Year 1 will therefore be 19 at the start of Year 2 and may be subject to fees for the Year 2 qualification. All learners will need to successfully complete the Year 1 qualification to be able to progress to the Year 2 qualification.
