AQA - Product Design at A Level involves the study of a wide range of materials and processes used in many different contexts, in both commercial and domestic situations. Students will develop their designing and making skills, investigating different media and manufacturing techniques, in order to produce high quality outcomes. They will learn about the issues surrounding contemporary design as well as those from 19th and 20th century design movements, and develop evaluative skills with which to analyse practical outcomes. There are many degree courses which will lead on from this A Level, including engineering, manufacturing and product design which can lead to careers in these areas where well quali?ed specialists are always in demand.Last years? A? level results were 91% A* ? C and 100% A* - E.

What you need to get on

Grade 5 in Design and Technology (6 in coursework) and 5 in Maths GCSE. The recommended specialism studied is either Graphics or Product Design

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
