A Level Product Design is a unique opportunity in the curriculum for students to identify and solve real problems, by designing and making products in a wide range of contexts relating to their own personal interests. Product Design develops all key skills and a capacity for imaginative, innovative thinking together with creativity and independence. The course will be of interest to a wide range of students including those who intend to pursue a career in Design and Technology or an associated area. Those with other aspirations can also benefit from the many transferable skills inherent in the study of Product Design.

What you need to get on

Students must have achieved a minimum of Grade B GCSE within a Design & Technology subject for entry onto this course, Also a grade C in English and Maths is recommended.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
