Studying Dance will enrich your life and support your studies! Dance is not just a physical act but a creative, analytical and evaluative subject. Of course you will be put through your paces in terms of technique and ability as a dancer, but it will also teach you discipline and time management as well as utilise collaborative and reflective skills. It will take you through a range of dance styles such as contemporary, ballet and jazz, as well as choreography and dance appreciation.

What you need to get on

In addition to our general entry requirements, you must have: GCSE English – grade 3 You will need to take part in an audition. There is no prerequisite to have studied GCSE or contemporary dance but you do need to have experience of performing and preferably have taken formal classes at some point.

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
