The Dance Course is a full-time unique two-year dance training programme here at The Miskin Theatre. Dancers train following a unique industry model; in a highly disciplined environment, to learn the skills and discipline required to work in the dance industry. You will participate in ballet, contemporary, choreography, jazz and tap classes alongside complementary musical theatre classes to support your ability to perform in a range of dance productions. You will perform in two major productions open to the public at the Miskin Theatre alongside performing at other events. You will also be able to understand how to train effectively as a dancer and learn about the employment opportunities available in the performing arts industry. The training is designed to challenge each performer to maximise their potential. You will develop self-awareness and personal development which will not only teach you essential skills for your pathway but also transferrable core life-skills. As part of this programme you may be able to complete ISTD Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre Dance and Tap examinations (additional costs apply). Equivalent to 3 A Levels, a total of 72-168 UCAS points, depending on grades achieved).
