Global development is creating many challenges to the designer relating to environmental issues. On this course you will gain experience in designing for real world situations, analysing products on the market, and researching current global issues. This will involve developing visual communication skills, using computer aided design to visualise and model the products you create. You will produce designs and concept models of real world products using a range of materials and processes. You will be given the opportunity to manufacture two and three dimensional products to a high standard, aiming for quality at all levels. Product Design will provide the skills to design and manufacture products whilst developing your time and project management skills.

What you need to get on

Grade 6 in a Technology subject. Students who were unable to study a Technology subject will be considered following discussion with the Subject Leader Combines well with Art & Design, Mathematics, Physics

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
